Victorinox's New Soldiers Knife

For more than 100 years, Victorinox has equipped Swiss soldiers with pocket knives. This tradition will be continued with a new, special model. The requirements of the Swiss Army have increased, however. Suitability for military use, safety, quality and a good price-performance ratio are the preconditions that the new pocket knife effortlessly fulfils.

Only the best stainless steel will be used for the production of the blade, the wood saw, the can opener with screwdriver 3mm, cap lifter with screwdriver 7mm lockable and wire stripper, the Philips screwdriver and the reamer and punch tool.

In addition, the cutting blade has been given a serrated edge and can be opened with one hand. The blade and the screwdriver are locked after being opened.
And the technology also doesn't stop at the grip shells. A two-component plastic gives the Soldier's Knife a better grip than all its predecessors, and lends the tool that extra something.

And, of course, the new Victorinox- Soldier's Knife is also low maintenance.

Gerber Gator Serrator

I just got a Gerber Gator for my birthday! Well it is not Gator II but at I am happy with it. It is my first Gerber and Bear Grylls used it once in Man vs Wild Second Season.

I went to Sunway Pyramid last night and straight away walk in to Ace Hardware Store. There's quite a lot of choice ranging from SAK, Buck, Gerber and Bear and Son knives...mostly folder.

OK, the Gator Serrater is a beautiful knife with a clip point blade style. What I like most about Gator is the handle. The handle is made from Glass-filled nylon with Gator Grip overmoldIt and it is very comfortable and ergonomically design. The blade is made from High Carbon stainless steel (420 HC) and it is very sharp. There's a review in the net saying that it is hard to sharpened but I have no comment about it since it still new with me.

It has a lock back mechanism and the Gator come with nylon ballistic sheath.

I'm loving it!
